The Meeting Hall, in the
furthest part of the library of the library. The presenters and the moderator
sit on a raised dias at one end, with the delegates in curved banks of tables
running the length of the room, three rows facing three rows, choir style.
At the other end of the room (from where the picture is taken) are the three
translation booths, for translating into French, Spanish, and English from
whatever language is currently being spoken. The delegates will get to know
this room very well. |

For the first time ever, the Chapter had representatives from the
entire dominican family speak. From left to right are Mr. Miguel Peiro Alba,
representing the Dominican Youth Movement; Sr. Margaret Ormond, representing
the sisters and the entire family; Yvon Pommerleau, moderator; Sr. Maria
Thomas Schniederberen, representing the nuns; and Mr. Klaus Bornewasser,
representing the laity. |

Of course, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. We have a great
new expresso bar in the basement of the college, just the place for breaks,
and twenty conversations in eight languages to choose from... who could
ask for more! |
