2.2 - Recommendations...

We need to facilitate better communications among ourselves via internet technology. This makes everyone's life easier and saves money. Meetings could be held online and much of our existing long-distance communication could happen via email.

Specifically:

Each province should have someone to help the brothers learn how to use the internet, and to be an associate member of OPnet (internet advisors for the Order).

Members of the curia who travel a lot should do so with internet capable laptop computers. They should have email accounts that would give them a local number to access the internet from most places they go.

Committees of the Order should have regular dialogue via listserves and ICQ chat rooms. At times they will still have to physically meet, but in the meantime they can carry on meaningful discussions and forward their work.

At least each provincial should have email. Most of the communications for the next General Chapter should happen via email, as well as other preparations for international meetings and for visitations.

Provinces should consider setting up listserves to connect their members and provide for a greater feeling of unity to those who travel and/or outside the province boundaries.
