The golden jubilee (50 years) of the canonisation of Dominican St Martin de Porres is being celebrated in St Saviour's, Dublin, with a Triduum of Masses.

Concluding with a special solemn Mass on Sunday 6th May at 11.30am, the Triduum of Masses have been prepared to pray in a special way for the friends and supporters of the St Martin Apostolate.

St Saviour's has several special connections with St Martin.

Apart from the devotion of those who attend the church and pray at the statue of St Martin, St Saviour's has the privilege of containing the national shrine of St Martin de Porres.

The Dominican community there also posseses the canvas poster of St Martin which was symbolically unfurled during St Martin's canonisation in Rome on 6th May 1962.

The poster is hung in the church each year for the Novena to St Martin in St Saviour's.

All are welcome to the special celebrations to mark the silver jubilee of St Martin's canonisation.
