IDYM International Meeting and Assembly 2016
Body:

Members of the International Dominican Youth Movement (IDYM) are gathering in Toulouse for their international meeting and assembly of representatives.

They are gathering within the Jubilee Year of the Order to celebrate an 800 years old heritage. This will be a special moment for Dominican youths who are continuously inspired by the footprints of our father St Dominic. They intend to celebrate their history and with hope and optimism, look to the future of their mission of evangelization.

The gathering is taking place at an important place in the history of St Dominic and the origin of the Order. In the course of their meeting, the members intend to visit places of important historical significance to the Order in Toulouse and the Monastery of Dominican Nuns in Prouilhe – the first monastery of the Order.

There will be presentations on the activities of the Movement from different parts of the world, as well as various cultural expressions. This is open to all members of the Movement and other youth groups with Dominican Charisms from all parts of the world. For the Assembly of Representatives, only registered leaders or representatives from each country will participate.

The Movements looks forward to an enriching experience of encounter among the young people, most especially a unique experience of Christ in the likeness of St Dominic.
