Fr. Miguel Ángel del Río is the new Socius of the Master of the Order for Italy, Malta and the Iberian Peninsula

The Master of the Order, fr Bruno Cadoré has appointed fr Miguel Ángel del Río as the new Socius for the Provinces of Italy, Malta and the Iberian Peninsula for a six year term. He is of the Province of Spain and he succeeds fr Bernardino Eugene Prella.

Fr Miguel was born in Barillos of Arrimadas (León) in 1970. He entered the Order in 1989 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1995. After his ordination, he studied Liturgy at the Pontificio Ateneo San Anselmo in Rome and obtained his doctorate in 1998.

He was prior of the Convent of Ntra. Sra. del Camino (León) for six years. Before his appointment, he was assigned to the Convent of San Esteban (Salamanca) and was a professor and secretary of the Faculty and School of Theology of San Esteban.

 

Fr Krzysztof Poplawski is the New Socius for Eastern and Central Europe

The Master of the Order, fr Bruno Cadoré has appointed fr Krzysztof Poplawski as the new socius for Eastern and Central Europe. He is from the Province of Poland and will be succeeding fr Wojciech Delik.

Fr Krzysztof was born in 1964. He entered the Order and made his first profession in 1989. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1993.

After his ordination, he worked as a youth chaplain in Cracow. He was also the Vocations Director and Pre-Novitiate Director in his Province. He worked as Prior and Pastor at Gdansk after which he spent three years in Asia (Taiwan and China). He was elected Prior Provincial of the Polish Province and he served for two terms.
