8 Make Simple Profession

On August 28, 2015 (Feast of St. Augustine), 8 novices —Brs. Joseph Abbah, Godwin Adange, Martin Adinnu, Raphael Ameh, Charles Nweke, John Okonkwo, Gabriel Olowosaiye, and Simon Zaki) made their first religious profession of vows in the Order of Preachers in the hands of the Prior Provincial, Bro. Charles Ukwe.

The ceremony took place during the Holy Mass in the chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas priory and was attended by priests and religious of various congregations, the family members and friends of the brothers and the worshipping community. As the brothers set aside the values of riches, family, and their will, the provincial urged them not to fail to embrace the greater value, who is Jesus.
