The prayer of the Servant of God, Fr Marie-Joseph Lagrange to the Blessed Virgin, to whom he was particularly devoted and prayed to daily with the recitation of the Holy Rosary, a prayer conceived in the heart of the sons and daughters of St Dominic:

Ave Maria!
In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
I declare before God that my intention is to die in the Holy Catholic Church,
to which I have always belonged in heart and soul since my baptism,
and to die faithful to my vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, in the Dominican Order.
I commend myself to my good Savour Jesus and to his Most Holy Mother, always so good to me.
I also declare, in the most explicit way, that I submit to the judgement of the Apostolic See all that I have written.
I think I can add that I have always intended to contribute to the good, in all my studies, I mean to the reign of Christ, in honour of the Church, for the good of souls.
I want to say once again, I am the son of Mary
«Tuus sum ego, salvum me fac!»
