On this day, 22 December, in 1216, our holy father Dominic received papal approval from Pope Honorius III for the establishment of an Order of Preachers. In anticipation of the 800th anniversary of this event, we have been preparing for this Jubilee through prayers, special themed years, and internet projects. One such project was the launch of an informative and well-illustrated site of the resting place of St Dominic in the basilica in Bologna.
