Irak - L'Ordre Dominicain condamne l'assassinat de Mgr. Faraj Rahho, Archevêque Chaldéen de MossoulLe corps de Mgr. Faraj Rahho, archevêque chaldéen de Mossoul (Nord Ouest de l'Irak) a été retrouvé enterré dans les environs de de la ville le jeudi 13 mars 2008. Il avait été enlevé au soir du vendredi 29 février par des hommes armés, alors qu'il regagnait son domicile au sortir d'une cérémonie religieuse. Présent en Irak depuis plusieurs siècles, l'Ordre dominicain condamne fermement l'enlèvement et l'assassinat de Mgr. Faraj Rahho, homme de Dieu dévoué à la paix, au dialogue et au service de son peuple. Comme viennent de le réaffirmer plusieurs leaders religieux et communautaires musulmans d'Irak, le meurtre du chef spirituel de la communauté chaldéenne de Mossoul ne saurait en aucun cas être justifié par de quelconques prétextes religieux.
