A Catholic Church Serving South Minneapolis

Established in 1878 by the Order of Preachers

Holy Rosary/Santo Rosario embraces and welcomes peoples of many cultures and traditions. Among those who worship at Holy Rosary are members of the Hispanic community, East Asians, African Americans, Native Americans, and Anglo Americans.

The Mission of Holy Rosary/Santo Rosario Catholic Community is to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ for all people so that we reflect a community of mutual respect, love, compassion, justice, freedom, prayer and service as the Body of Christ.

oly Rosary/Santo Rosario Catholic Church is a faith-filled community of  Christians in the Archdiocese of St. Paul/Minneapolis. Located in South Minneapolis in the Phillips Neighborhood,  Holy Rosary has seen many transitions. Once a prosperous community on the outskirts of downtown, the church is now a mission parish in many ways. It is not so much a bastion or a fortress in the midst of a troubled neighborhood, as it is a refuge and a haven for those in the neighborhood who come in need of love, security, and acceptance, as well as in need of a faithful encounter with a loving and merciful God.
