VOLUNTEER POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

It is not necessary that our teachers speak a foreign language. What is important is that the volunteer speaks good English and has a desire to help immigrants adapt to their new environment. .

All volunteers are requited to attend classes at the Minnesota Literacy Council. The program has an excellent library of teaching resources including textbooks, videos, software.

The scheduling of volunteer teachers is very flexible. Most volunteers teach only one day a week. We also need substitute teachers.
