today, after eight centuries, the brothers, faithful to the desire of St. Dominic, recall in their Constitutions that the contemplative life of the nuns, their intimacy with God, nourishes their own apostolic life. It is striking to see that the bonds linking brothers and sisters are expressed in term of life: the contemplative life of the sisters is source, food for the apostolic life of the brothers but also for all the Order and the Church. St. Dominic knew that the good grain bears fruit when it is disseminated; and now the few sisters of Prouilhe are nearly 4000 in the world, established into more than 234 monasteries.
