Please pardon the digression of this page. I don't usually fall in love with churches nor seek them out when traveling, but this particular church in Tournus, France is an exception. I guess living with David Delich OP rubs off on one. I won't comment any further. |

The Dominican community in Strasbourg is centered in prayer. One night at evening prayer, I was inspired to give you a taste of this experience with this simple page. The song is Notre Père (Our Father), and it is the community singing. The picture is Brother Pascal Vennin, the porter for the community, at the time of meditation between the reading and the Magnificat. I have also provided a choice of renderings for the picture, and for those with good speakers and a faster modem, there is a version with a bit better sound quality here. |

Sunday, April 2, 2000, was Jubilatio Day, part of the celebrations leading up to the World Youth Day in Rome this August. There were activities all day which the brothers had been planning for months, Discussions and Mass in the morning, a Café in the afternoon and Le Spectacle in the evening. |

Alsace, the region around Strasbourg, is defined by the Vosages, the mountain range on the western side of the province. I went hiking along the ridge of the Vosages at Champ du Feu. It is also home of the European Union. |
