Asia-Pacific Common Study Program – 2025

The 13th Asia-Pacific Dominican Common Study took place this year in Indonesia, hosted by the Dominican Province of the Philippines. It opened on 13 July in Lembang and concluded on 2 August 2025 in Jakarta.

This annual gathering brought together student friars and newly ordained friar-priests from various provinces of the Order of Preachers across the Asia-Pacific region. It served as a time for study, theological reflection, intercultural exchange, and the strengthening of fraternity within the Dominican Family.

The 2025 edition brought together 18 participants: Vietnam (4), India (3), Myanmar (2), Pakistan (2), China (1), South Korea (1), Indonesia (3), and the Philippines (2).

Over the course of the three-week program, the brothers traveled to Jakarta, Cimahi, Lembang, Anjungan, and Pontianak. Alongside their study and prayer, they took part in meaningful immersion experiences with the local Church and engaged in the rich cultural life of Indonesia.
