“I’m grateful to the capitulars of the Southern Dominican Province of St. Martin de Porres for electing me as provincial,” fr. Mark said. “I’m very honored and very hopeful for the province and for our work together as a chapter; and I look forward to working with the brothers in the diffinitorium.”
The Province of St. Martin de Porres, commonly known as “the Southern Province,” serves the Church in the southern United States and beyond through parish ministry, campus ministry, teaching, preaching, chaplaincy, and other apostolic works. Founded in 1979, today the province has 81 friars, nearly 20 of whom are in initial formation.
Please keep fr. Mark and all the friars of the Province of St. Martin de Porres in your prayers as he begins this new ministry of service to the Order and the Church.
