It is important to remember that the Calendarium Ordinis Praedicatorum came into effect with the first Vespers on the first Sunday of Advent, November 30, 2019.
The new calendar is the result of the work of the International Liturgical Commission of the Order (CLIOP) and the dialogue with the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacrament over the past several years. It takes into account the revisions of the Roman calendar on the saints of the Order and the many beatifications and canonizations that have taken place in recent years.
In addition to the Calendar, the Master issued the decree for the publication of an index of saints and blessed outside the calendar, which can be used in the votive celebrations according to the headings, and as a guide in the preparation of the calendars for the different monasteries, provinces, federations/associations and institutes of the Order and the Dominican family.
