DOMINICAN SISTERS INTERNATIONAL ELECTS A NEW INTERNATIONAL COORDINATOR

On Tuesday, 14 May 2013, the prioresses of DSI elected Sr. Marie Therese Clement as the new International Coordinator of DSI (2013-2019). She will succeed Sr. Maria Fabiola Velasquez Maya who has just finished serving as the International Coordinator of DSI (2007-2013).
Sr. Marie Therese is a member of the Dominican Missionaries of Our Lady of Delivrande. While the motherhouse of her congregation is in France, Sr. Marie Therese is a native of San Lucia in the Caribbean where she has been living and working while serving as a General Councillor for her congregation.
Sr. Marie Therese made her perpetual profession of vows in 1992. She brings a wealth of personal gifts and professional competencies to the Coordinating Council of DSI and her office as International Coordinator.
The DSI Assembly is grateful to Sr. Marie Therese and to her congregation for this generous gift of service to the Apostolic Dominican Sisters of the world and to the entire Dominican Family.
The Newly Elected Coordinating Council of DSI
The VII General Assembly has also elected the five Continental Coordinators. Together with the new International Coordinator, Sr Marie Therese Clement OP, they form the Coordinating Council of DSI. They will work closely with her for the next 6 years.
