Dominican Promoters for Justice and Peace of Africa annual conference

From June 22 – 26, 2023 Dominican Promoters for Justice and Peace of Africa will meet for the annual conference in Nairobi-Kenya. This conference will bring together promoters from the Friars’ eight entities in Africa, Dominican Sisters and Nuns, Dominican Laity and Youths. The topics of discussion will include the Salamanca Process, Climate Change, Migrants and Refugees and how they affect African people in a very unique ways.
It will be a moment to reflect on the challenges these issues pose to Africa and discern the way to tackle them together as Dominicans.

The keynote speakers include:

• Fr. Aniedi Okure, OP, the Order’s General Promoter for Justice and Peace who will enlighten the participants on the Salamanca Process
• Fr. Neil Mitchell, OP of the Vice Province of Southern Africa who will reflect on the effects of Climate Change
• Mr. Eugene Wirba (MA) whose reflection will focus on the refugee crisis and migrants.
