Fr Pedro de Cruz Fernandes has been elected as the new Prior Provincial of the Province of Portugal. He was elected during the on-going Provincial Chapter of the Province. The election has been confirmed by the Master of the Order, fr Bruno Cador and fr Pedro has accepted the election.
Fr Pedro was born in Torre, Portugal. He entered the Order and made his first religious profession in 1960. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1966. He has served in various capacities within his province.
Until his election, he was the Parish Priest of the Parish of Christ the King in Porto. Now, he assumes the office of Prior Provincial for the next 4years.
