On 29 April 2025, the feast of St. Catherine of Siena, thirteen priests and three deacons from five different dioceses gathered together at the Priory of St. Thomas Aquinas, Manila, for an orientation program on the Priestly Fraternities of St. Dominic.
Br. Romulo Rodriguez, OP, Provincial Promoter, and his assistant Br. Jayson Gonzales, OP, welcomed the participants and gave a series of presentations highlighting Dominican spirituality and explaining this branch of the Dominican Family. Except for a priest from the Diocese of Melbourne in Australia, all clerics present came from the local dioceses of Urdaneta, Pasig, Imus, and San Pablo.
With a total membership of 266, the priestly fraternities in the Province are home to 13 canonically erected chapters, 3 chapters-in-formation, a group for overseas members, and a group for members of the ecclesiastical hierarchy. To date, there are 16 bishops and one cardinal ministering in the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, and Spain.
