Registrations Open for the Second Module of the Training School for Formators in Latin America and the Caribbean

The second module of the Training School for Formators in Latin America and the Caribbean, entitled “Characteristics of Dominican Formation”, will begin in September 2025 and conclude in July 2026.
“A strong project of collaboration within the Dominican Family.”

The Order has developed a beautiful Dominican Family project in Latin America and the Caribbean: the Virtual Training School for Formators.

This initiative responds to a shared desire and a common need among friars, nuns, and apostolic sisters in this region:

  • The shared desire to foster concrete collaboration on a fundamental theme highlighted by the General Chapters: the formation of formators.
  • The need for a space of formation and accompaniment rooted in our Dominican spirituality and tradition, for those entrusted with the complex and delicate mission of initial formation.

Thanks to the efforts of the friars, sisters, and nuns of the region, with the support of the General CuriaCODALC, and CIDALC, and the dedication of a committed animation team, this project has become a reality over the past year. The School is steadily becoming a regional platform for comprehensive and systematic formation, faithful to our Dominican tradition and values, for those involved in formation.

We joyfully and gratefully concluded our first module, titled:
“Spiritual Accompaniment in the Order of Preachers: Testimonies and Foundations.”
In this module, we “stood on the shoulders of giants” like Saint Dominic of CaleruegaBlessed Jordan of SaxonySaint Catherine of SienaFray Luis de Granada, and Saint Rose of Lima, among others, to reflect on two fundamental questions:

Is there a specifically Dominican way of spiritual accompaniment?
Does the Dominican charism offer a particular contribution to this pastoral spiritual practice?

And we continue working with hope.
We have prepared our second module, which will begin in September 2025 and conclude in July 2026. It is titled “Characteristics of Dominican Formation”, and the flyer below contains all the necessary information. We hope to count on the participation of many brothers and sisters, as was the case in our first module, to continue building together this “beautiful Family project.”
