Fr James Vincent Marchionda has been elected the 12th Prior Provincial of the Province of St. Albert the Great, U.S.A. The Master of the Order, fr Bruno Cador has confirmed the election and fr James has accepted the Office.
Fr Jim was born in 1947 in Struthers, Ohio, made his religious profession in the Order in 1968 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1973. He attended; St. Thomas University, DePaul University, Aquinas Institute and University of Wisconsin-Madison. He had served as Vicar Provincial and a member of the Provincial Council for many years.
He is an itinerant preacher, composer, conductor, singer, and woodwind instrumentalist (clarinet and saxophones), and speaker, who offers parish missions, workshops, lectures and concerts throughout the United States and abroad. His unique ministry successfully combines preaching with a professional career in sacred music.
