Province of Toulouse re-elects Prior Provincial

Br. Olivier de Saint Martin is re-elected Prior Provincial of the Province of Toulouse.

The Provincial Chapter of the Province of Toulouse met on Saturday, 31 December 2022 in the priory of Nice. The friars re-elected Br. Olivier de Saint Martin as Prior Provincial.
The Master of the Order confirmed the re-election and fr. Olivier accepted his office the same day.

Brother Olivier DE SAINT-MARTIN was born on 6 April 1970 in Le Mans (Sarthe) and was baptised on 10 May 1970 in the cathedral of the same town. He became an agricultural engineer in 1993 (Beauvais) and entered religious life the same year. He was ordained a priest on 23 June 2001.

The following year, he joined the Order of Preachers and in 2003 obtained a master’s degree in dogmatic theology at the Institut Catholique de Paris before being sent on mission to Haiti (2003-2004). Br. Olivier made profession in the order on 2 July 2005 and was appointed parish priest of Notre-Dame du Rosaire in Toulouse until 2010. Appointed General Director of the Rosary Pilgrimage in 2009, he held this position for ten years, receiving in addition the position of Socius of the Provincial from 2010 to 2014 and Prior in Toulouse from 2012 to 2018. He is also a teacher in sacramental studies and a missionary of mercy.

Elected prior provincial of the province of Toulouse on 29 December 2018, he was elected on 31 December 2022 for a second term.
