From June 3 to 4, 2024, the first assembly of Provincial Promoters of the Priestly Fraternities of St. Dominic in the US took place at the Priory of St. Dominic in Washington, DC. Participating in the meeting were fr. Augustine Hilander, OP (Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus), fr. David Seid, OP (Province of St. Martin de Porres), fr. Jordan Turano, OP (Socius of the Master for the USA), fr. Florentino Bolo, OP (General Promoter of the Priestly Fraternities), and fr. James Sullivan, OP (Province of St. Joseph, USA) who is also the prior of the convent hosting the gathering.
Among the topics discussed were the ongoing practices and their applicability in the other Provinces. The promoters shared not only their experiences in the ministry but also the questions that each one encountered while accompanying the priests in their growth in the Dominican spirituality. Likewise, to foster greater collaboration among them, the promoters agreed to have a common website and social media account for the four Provinces. With a total of 47 members in the entire USA, the region is home to seven groups, four of which are canonically erected chapters.
