The Dominican Laity European Council Meets with the Master

The Laity has always been part of the Dominican Family and they exist in different parts of the world under different fraternities. They cooperate with the rest of the Family in carrying out the preaching mission of the Order while still living with their families and doing their private jobs. They are aggregated to the Order by adopting a Rule of Life approved by the Master of the Order and making a promise to live by that Rule. suited to their circumstances.
They have as their vocation to radiate the presence of Christ in the midst of the peoples so that the divine message of salvation be known and accepted everywhere by the whole of humankind. (Rule of the Lay Fraternities of St Dominic)
