Rome, March 26, 2025 — From March 18 to March 26, the Convent of Santa Sabina, the seat of the General Curia of the Order of Preachers in Rome, hosted seven Provincials who attended the annual workshop designed for recently elected or re-elected priors provincial.
The Master of the Order, Brother Gerard Francisco Timoner III, OP, along with all members of the General Curia who will be in contact with our brother provincials during their tenure, actively participated in the gathering. Brother Juan Manuel Hernández, OP, the Socius for Fraternal Life and Formation, directed the workshop’s overall coordination.
The workshop provided a valuable opportunity for training on essential topics such as canonical visitations, ongoing formation, and canonical matters. However, its primary focus was on fostering mutual understanding and acquainting participants with how the General Curia functions. Strengthening our mutual bonds enhances our effectiveness!
The community of the Convent of Santa Sabina expressed its joy to have received the provincial brothers from the provinces of St. Albert the Great (Germany and Austria), England, Croatia, India, St. Vincent Ferrer (Central America), the Philippines, and the Holy Name of Jesus (United States).
The fraternal atmosphere, profound reflections, and exchange of experiences enriched this forum for formation and communion, making these days extremely edifying and strengthening for all involved in the workshop.
