The International Liturgical Commission of the Order of Preachers (CLIOP) convened from June 28th to July 1st, 2022 in Rome for their annual plenary meeting. In the fall of 2020 the Master of the Order appointed new members of the Commission for a 6 year term. It was also expanded to include a sub-commission on liturgical music.
The SMI Board met in person in Rome last May (4-6).
During the sessions were presented: the report of the year 2021 (ACG Trogir, 2013, 203), the new Statute of the Fund for Initial Formation (ACG Biên Hòa, 2019, 228); approved by the Master of the Order and his Council in November 2021 and the report of SMI to the General Chapter of Tultenango 2022.
On June 7, 2022, the Province of St. Dominic of Canada elected fr Yves Bériault, OP, as Prior Provincial.
On June 4, 2022, the friars of the Province of St. Martin de Porres, USA, elected Brother Roberto Merced, O.P., as Prior Provincial for a four-year term.
